About NALSAR
NALSAR University of Law was established to strengthen the pillars of justice, equality and fair play as well as to inculcate values in higher education. Located on a sprawling 55 acre site near the Shameerpet Lake which is around 26 kms from the city centre of Hyderabad, NALSAR has become one of the leading institutions in the country for imparting education in law and allied fields. Established by Act 34 of 1998, which came into effect from June 15, 1998, the University is a residential University engaged in teaching and promoting research in law and allied disciplines and a body corporate having a perpetual succession and a common seal. About IDI
The Institute of International Law was established in 1873 by a group of distinguished international lawyers. The main objective of the Institute is to promote the progress of international law and one of the activities undertaken to promote this progress is the peaceful settlement of disputes among states. A proposal of the Institute to this effect was accepted by the first Hague Peace Conference of 1899. The Institute was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1904 for promoting the idea of peaceful settlement of disputes between States as a better alternative to the recourse to war, which was the usual method until then. Since then the Institute has become the premier global Institute for codification and development of international law. Read more
